OUR STORY
Strikeout Baseball is a nonprofit dedicated to growing the game of baseball in Lansing by creating a fun, accessible space for kids to play. Our first-of-its-kind stadium allows for real baseball action without needing a full team of 18 players. Founded through Jeff Lazaros's lifelong passion for the sport, Strikeout Baseball offers kids the chance to enjoy the game for free, promoting outdoor activity and community engagement through America's national pastime.
From inception to reality
2019
A Gift From Lansing
The City of Lansing generously gifted Strikeout Baseball a parcel of land, marking the beginning of our journey. This land remains part of the city park system, ensuring it is well-maintained and accessible for community use.
2020
Groundbreaking & John Smoltz Partnership
Strikeout Baseball broke ground on its facilities and was honored to partner with Baseball Hall of Famer John Smoltz. His support underscored our mission to inspire and nurture young athletes.
2025
Grand Opening
After years of dedication and collaboration, Strikeout Baseball will proudly open its doors, celebrating the realization of a vision to unite and empower the Lansing community through baseball.
